When you think of David Beckham, you probably envision a whirlwind lifestyle filled with a successful soccer career, modeling gigs, and even appearances on shows like “Modern Family.” And you’d be right. But as he nears 50, Beckham’s life is taking a different turn. He’s spending more time on the sidelines as he takes on ownership of the Inter Miami soccer club, prioritizing family time, and… wait for it… beekeeping?
Yes, you read that right. We caught up with the iconic soccer star, who graces the cover of Men’s Health, to get a glimpse into his life at 50. When asked about his stress-relief methods, Beckham revealed that he enjoys cruising on his motorcycle along the highway. But he also finds solace in tending to his farm at his countryside home.
“My chickens, my garden, hanging out with friends, and enjoying a pint or a glass of wine,” he shares. “That’s what brings me joy. We have chickens, a vegetable patch—all at our country house. It’s something I take great pride in.”
But the real surprise? Beckham has his very own beehive and harvests honey from it. “When we gather the honey and I see it all laid out in my kitchen, it’s a moment that fills me with emotion. I turn to my kids, hoping for their admiration, only to get a nonchalant ‘Yeah, whatever, Dad.’ But it’s incredibly fulfilling for me. So I’ll keep at it.”
