Joe Rogan Praises UFC Legend Daniel Cormier as a Humble ‘Killer’

In a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Joe Rogan couldn’t help but shower former two-weight UFC champion Daniel Cormier with praise. According to Rogan, Cormier is not only one of the most decorated champions in UFC history but also "the nicest f**king guy you’d ever meet in your life."

Cormier made history by becoming only the second fighter to hold UFC titles in two different weight divisions. His knockout victory over Stipe Miocic at UFC 266 in 2015 saw him add the heavyweight crown to the light heavyweight championship he already possessed. Cormier also achieved the remarkable feat of defending titles in different divisions while still actively holding both belts.

Retiring in 2019 with an impressive record of 22 wins, three losses, and one no contest, Cormier’s career highlights include victories over notable fighters such as Anderson Silva, Dan Henderson, and Alexander Gustafsson.

Despite his relatively small stature for the heavyweight division where he began and ended his MMA journey, Cormier is widely regarded as one of the greatest fighters in UFC history. In recognition of his accomplishments, he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame’s Modern Wing in 2022.

Since retiring from competition, Cormier has transitioned into a role as a cage-side color commentator for UFC broadcasts, often sharing the booth with Rogan and play-by-play announcer Jon Anik. Rogan, who has had the opportunity to work closely with Cormier, has nothing but admiration for the former champion both personally and professionally.

Describing Cormier as a "tank of a human being" with incredible wrestling skills and an unmatched will to win, Rogan emphasized Cormier’s dominance in two weight classes and his status as a true "killer" in the octagon. Yet, despite his fearsome reputation inside the cage, Rogan highlights Cormier’s genuine kindness and humility outside of it.

If you were to spend time with Cormier, Rogan suggests, you would find it hard to believe that this unassuming and amiable individual could effortlessly defeat anyone in the room.

In conclusion, Rogan’s glowing endorsement of Daniel Cormier as both a fierce competitor and a genuinely nice person serves as a testament to the former champion’s remarkable character and accomplishments in the world of mixed martial arts.
