Chimaev, known for his impressive UFC record, expressed his lack of interest in doing the podcast despite the opportunity presented to him. He mentioned on The Hustle MMA podcast that while he respects Tyson as a fighter and a person, he is wary of Tyson’s history of violence, substance abuse, and controversial statements, particularly regarding Muslims.
The 30-year-old fighter, who has racked up notable victories in the UFC, including wins over Gilbert Burns and Kamaru Usman, highlighted the unpredictability of life and the potential for anyone to face difficulties. Despite not passing judgment on Tyson, Chimaev ultimately decided against participating in his podcast.
