Real Madrid has sadly confirmed that Éder Militão has suffered yet another ACL injury. The news came shortly after their 4-0 victory against Osasuna, where the Brazilian defender had to be carried off the field on a stretcher.
During the first half of the game, Militão fell to the ground in pain, gripping his right knee as staff and teammates rushed to his aid. This marks the second ACL tear for the 26-year-old in just two seasons, this time affecting his other knee.
Last season, Militão encountered the same issue in his left knee during the first game, only returning to play in March. With this latest setback, Real Madrid will undoubtedly be concerned about the injuries to Rodrygo (quad) and Lucas Vazquez (hip), who were also forced to exit the match on Saturday.
It’s a tough blow for Militão and the team, and we can only hope for a swift recovery for all the injured players.
