Exciting news for Sonic the Hedgehog fans – Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has just hit theaters, and you can already preorder the upcoming physical edition on 4K Blu-ray. If you’re a collector and already have steelbooks for the first two Sonic movies and the Knuckles miniseries, you can complete your set by preordering the limited edition Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Steelbook on 4K Blu-ray for $45 at Amazon or Walmart. Not into steelbooks? Don’t worry, Sonic 3 is also available on 4K without a steelbook, as well as on standard 1080p Blu-ray and DVD.
The physical edition of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is still a bit of a mystery, with no release date or special features announced yet. However, based on past releases, we can expect behind-the-scenes featurettes and bonus content to be included. Opting for the Limited Edition Steelbook will get you a steelbook case, 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray discs, and a digital voucher for the movie. The design of the steelbook case has not been revealed yet, but Amazon and Walmart both offer preorder price guarantees, so you will only pay the lowest price offered between the time you preorder and release.
If you prefer just the movie without the steelbook, the 4K release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is available for preorder for $36 at Amazon and Walmart. The standard 4K release includes Blu-ray and digital versions of the movie. Preorders for the 1080p Blu-ray edition are not available yet, but the DVD release is available for $26 at Amazon.
Want to catch up on the Sonic live-action movie and TV series before watching Sonic 3? Amazon has great deals on the first two movies and the Knuckles miniseries. You can grab the Sonic the Hedgehog 2-Movie Steelbook Collection on 4K Blu-ray for only $29, and the Blu-ray Steelbook Edition of Knuckles for $23.
For fans of the Sonic animated TV series, there are discounts available on Blu-ray and DVD releases. The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog: The Complete Series is currently on sale for $39 (originally $60), and includes all 65 episodes on Blu-ray in standard definition.
So whether you’re a die-hard Sonic fan or just looking to add to your movie collection, there are plenty of options to enjoy the Blue Blur’s adventures on the big screen and beyond.
